This is a curated show of art and craft with a strongly conceptual emphasis.
Participating artists include:
Shelagh Young, Cydnee Hosker, Sacha Archer, Leigh Kotsilidis, Brian Wagner, John Climenhage, Jess Rowland, Leigh Mcdonald, Carly Moran, Shannon Taylor, Margo Davis, Andy Pomorski, Erin Parker, Miriam Stucky, and Marnee Williams. Bitten is primarily organized and curated by Jess Rowland with lots of help and support from participating artists.
One of a kind artwork will include small gift items, paintings, sculptures, installation art and more. Something for everyone, thought provoking, whimsical, functional and mysterious. A brand new CD by Tiny Davis (Silverhearts, bonus numbers) called "Heartwood", will be available, a collection of songs of love and trust to share with your sweetheart. And for children and adults alike, The Little Heart, a short audio story of love lost and found set to original music by Tanya Elchuk and Allison Pfaff.
Meet the artists at the gala reception that will be held on Saturday February 10 from 1 till 4 pm.
The reception features a thematic book launch, live music, and Let Us Eat Cake-a miniature cake auction (all proceeds to the food bank). This is the perfect opportunity to find and purchase a special one of a kind gift for yourself or your sweetie or to just enjoy and delight the senses with an array of luscious images and experiences.
The opening event will feature extraordinary accordion player James Plouffe performing live with original songs of vibrant love and life.
The opening event will launch a limited edition artistsí book, Bitten: the book of love #4, featuring text by Esther Vincent and artwork by some of the artists also featured in the exhibition.
